Visualizing my RV life

I would visualize things coming to me. It would just make me feel better. Visualization works if you work hard. That’s the thing. You can’t just visualize and go eat a sandwich.

When I need to relax, I close my eyes and visualize future moments from my RV dream . . .

I enjoy my first cup of morning coffee under my RV awning. My folding lounge chair cradles me. The air is still cool. I watch the colors on the eastern horizon change from baby blue to pink and then to orange.

I sit in my little dinette and smell the dish of basmati rice stir fry I just cooked. It’s a new recipe and I can’t wait to devour it.

My boyfriend has fun with visualization, too. Spurred by my August 7 post, he said the other day he had a daydream about RVing. He and I were lounging in my RV bed on a Sunday afternoon. He was reading and I was binging on YouTube. After about an hour he got out of bed and went to my “little fridge” to get some gelato.

It might seem strange, but I rarely visualize majestic vacation scenes like the alpine-covered mountains of Glacier National Park or the rugged Alaska Highway. I do want to see these things, but my future life won’t just be a vacation. RVing is how I want to live. I’ll still have to work, pay bills, and keep up with my everyday responsibilities. Imagining the everyday moments is what puts butterflies in my stomach. The small pleasures remind me of how much I yearn for all facets of the RV life–the majestic and the everyday.
